eh.. huh? archives

2001-01-31 22:34: First time this week I'm getting online. Being a member of several mailing lists proved to be a curse today. Oh, I love getting mail, but not to wait for a hundred of them to download while I'm trying to load a huge page. And to top it all, nothing really interesting was said on either of the lists. fanfictionnetwriters gave me a load of bitching about the new chaptering system, which appearently isn't as popular as Xing thought it'd be. The other discussions weren't too exciting either. *sigh* I'm not easily amused, it seems.

I wonder if thinhline has updated? I'm not familiar with their updating schemes - yet - but I have made it a habit to visit their page regularly. They are - to put it mildly - weird. But that's the way I like'em.

News on the semantics: I've done 2 of the four problems on the exercise due Friday. Oh, it's progress, but I really don't want to do this tomorrow night.

Friday my sister comes for a visit. That'll be.. interesting. I've been thinking if we should go see "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", which has hit Uppsala's cinemas. Most probably we'll just update her homepage and then end up in front of the Playstation. Still, it'd be nice to go see a movie. Last one for me was X-Men.

[Post comment] 13:21: After another boring two hours of Semantics, my brain is ready to explode. Damnit, does he have to explain even the simplest things twice? And so lengthy?

Anyway, link of today must be.. crossroad.to. I can't believe those guys! The worst part is that they are serious.

fanfiction.net have implemented chaptering functions. Nice feature. Even nicer that I can convert my old fics and not loose old hit rates and reviews.. Thank's Xing!

I've found a tool called blogvoices and promptly added it to my blog. Yeah, I know that this isn't interesting enough to cause anyone to comment, but still..

[Post comment] 2001-01-29 17:02: MUD. Hm. Alright, but I really need to start earning some money with my NannyMUD chef.. Right now I depend on my boyfriend to hand me some money now and then (as if he couldn't afford it.. *grin*) Anyways, back to playing, huh?
[Post comment] 16:29: Alright, I knew that Netscape on these Sun computers isn't as stable as I'd prefer it to be. Hell, Netscape isn't stable anywhere.. Still, I find it extremely annoying when the browser windows just pop out of existence, forcing me to manually remove lock files and whatever not.

Anyway, I spent last night finding an acceptable place to store my home page. I thought for a while that crosswinds would do it, but their servers are constantly down... so I guess not. Ah well. Tripod will have to to for now. Of course, popups are as annoying as can be, and I'd happily pay to get rid of them. If I had a Mastercard or Visa, so I won't have to pay too may stupid fees.

After two hours of non-linear equations, I really want to just go home and play Wild Arms. *ptrr* Can't do that, of course. Gotta read two articles about out TDB-project until Wednesday, and then I've got exercises that I've got to turn in Thursday, and a mini project due Friday. I just looove studying at university... *sighs*

One of these days I might have time to write some fan fiction, too. Don't count on it.

[Post comment] 2001-01-28 20:07: Yeah. Me too.

Dunno if this would make me egotistical - believing that anyone would care about my thoughts and ramblings. But hah! You can't stop me!

So school's started again. Yay. Or something. Why do I have a feeling this spring's classes won't give me as much free time to spend as I used to have. If that means less time for video games and writing, I won't have it *grin*.

Don't forget visiting Sketch of Love.

Enough for now, eh?
